MAC 217 Dupe

So as I was scrolling through my subscription box on YouTube I came across Marc Zapanta's new video (here), I knew I had to get it straight away. I've never bought or tried the real MAC 217 but now I feel like I won't have to.

I bought this here on ebay for 99p and free postage. The brush itself is reasonably good quality and works like a dream, after I washed it, it did go a bit splayed out bu it did settle down after a day or two. I will definitely be buying more in the future but I do have to say that its biggest fault is the delivery time, as it took over 2 weeks.

Hope you enjoyed this, leave me a comment if you know of any other MAC dupes :)

-I'm away atm so I'm just putting up schedualed posts, I'll have a Christmassy one soon. Merry Christmas!

Ciate Mini Mani Month

So as I said in my Weekly Mani #2  I received this lovely gift from a friend this year, it's honestly beautiful and I can't say I dislike any of the polishes whatsoever.

As you can see the box is super cute with tiny little doors and the polishes behing them.

First up there are seven special effects polishes .

Silver, Midnight in Manhattan, Metallic Gold, Cupids Arrow

Four of which are the caviar pearls the four shades are: silver, midnight in manhattan (Black, Silver and transparent), metallic gold and cupids arrow (light pink, dark pink and purple)

Twinkle Toes

The one glitter in the set is twinkle toes which is a crazy, almost holographic glitter that I'm actually wearing in the photo.

Snow Globe

The most Christmassy ou of the lot has to be this - Snow globe. It's a clear polish with kind of pinkish tinfoil bits going through it.

Dallas Dolly

The last of this section is a sequin in dallas dolly. This one looks really cute and Christmassy but the only thing that bugs me is that it's the kind of thing you can only really use at Christmas time.

Ivory Queen, Members Only, Starlet, Fit For a Queen

Next up are shimmers and metallics. There are ivory queen and members only which are both very similar, the only difference being that ivory queen has gold running through it and the other has silver. The next is starlet which is pretty difficult to describe, you can see it there yourself and I really can't wait to wear this. Last is fit for a queen which is just a super shimmery silver.

Members only (nude colour on nails)

All

Pillow Fight, Amazing Gracie, Chinchilla, Sugar Plum, Pepperminty
Pastels:
  • Pillow Fight: Mauve-Grey-Purple
  • Amazing Gracie: Light pastel pink
  • Chinchilla: Grey-blue
  • Sugar Plum: lilac
  • Pepperminty: mint green

Hoopla, Candy Floss, Main Stage, Play Date, Boudoir, Encoure! Hopscotch
Pinks/Reds/Oranges

  • Hoopla: light coral pink
  • Candy Floss: barbie pink
  • Main Stage: purple-pink
  • Play Date: hot pink
  • Boudior: deep vampy red
  • Encoure!: muted orange-red with brown undertones
  • Hopscotch: orange toned red

Tweed and Tails

And the last one that doesn't fit into any category is tweed and tails which is a lovely moss-khaki green.

I do hope you enjoyed that little overview and I am extremely happy to add to my rapidly growing nail polish collection! What is your favourite brand of nail polish?

My All Time Favourite Body Moisturisers

I've always been a huge fan of all thing body shop, but most of their beautiful smelling body butters. They retail for £12 each but If you hang around you can usually find them on some kind of special offer.

First of all I have the mango scent this is by far my favourite and probably my first, next up there is raspberry, in all honesty they all smell just as the name suggests so I shall just list the rest for you: Cranberry (Christmas edition), Passion fruit, Japenese Cherry blossom and Mango body scrub.

The body scrub is a very liquidy texture but it is also really thick as well. But it does do a great job of buffing your skin and removing any dead skin cells.

Thanks for reading- What are your favourite body shop products?

The Weekly Mani #2

So I have another mani for you, this week features Ciaté minis, all from my mini mani month calander which I was very kindly given to me from one of my best friends for Christmas (opened it early whoops). All the polishes are beautiful and I will definitely be doing a whole post on the set.

I used three polishes for my mani: members only, twinkle toes and amazing gracie.

I used about three coats of amazing gracie to begin with, it's just a really lovely pastel pink; one of my favourites. However on my ring finger I just used one coat then sprinkled the glitter twinkle toes over and let it dry. Over amazing gracie I put members only which is a super sheer nude colour with lots of silver shimmer running through it.

Thanks for reading, I hope you like my super cute festive nail look :)

November Favourites

So this month I've been loving lots of things old and new, I'd decided to share a couple items with you all I hope you enjoy!

I've fallen in love with the maybelline color tattoos, they are so quick and easy to use and there are so many beautiful shades! My favourite is pink gold but I really love Metallic Pomegranate and on and on bronze. I wrote a little post on these a while ado so you can go here if you want to read in a bit more detail.

My lip favourites this month include and old favourite (here) which I have loved for long while, it's the perfect 90s nude and one I think everybody should own. My second lip favourite is a new one, Maybelline color drama lip velvet in Berry Much, the shade is beautiful deep berry which is perfect for the upcoming winter season.

I recently realised that my elf brow kit was far too red toned for me, so I pulled this MUA kit out and it's perfectly cool toned and is super easy to mix the two shades for the perfect colour. The next product is also from MUA, it's the mosaic blush in english rose. I really love how illuminating and rosy this is plus the amazing price of £3.50.

I've also been loving my new Essie nail polish which you can read about here and my l'oreal true match foundation here

Lastly I am completely addicted to Gossip Girl. I've just started season 4 now and oh my, if you watch it you'll understand how addicted and crazy it is.

Thanks for reading, give me a comment of your favourite couple from Gossip Girl - mine is without a doubt Bair & Chuck, they are so cute and I am currently completely devastated.
